31.07. July is over! Where this month has gone? (by Nadja)

Well, if you follow the block you find out. The Thatcher has started and all of the sudden our house was topless. There were no tiles and no walls, just the wooden frame they put the tiles on to see. Since the house is so old, it is very difficult to get the new isolation in. And I figured the sight of the house has no wall, what looks like a wall is just a thin paper layer painted from the inside. It is a bit scary thought, since we are not living in Japan.

More bad news, which we new could happen, has come true. The whole underground pipe system for the waste water has to be renewed! That means more days of open the ground, digging out the pipes and putting in new one. More mess and something we thought it is not happening to us. But we have to go the entire road down. No short cut in rebuilding an old house. Of course there is a good sight to it: better now, where everything is open anyway and then we know it is in good condition.

And there are three things more to come: we don’t know yet what is happening with the chimney pipe, what problem the chimney-fitter from NunnaUuni will find out! For sure we know already, that the Electrician has to redo an electric-pipe, where he has just set a new cable…(A good thing Mr Möller has enough humour) And we still have no solution for the balcony to stop the water coming in.

Maybe one trick, think of the worst scenario, then it just can get better!
